Aspen’s Community Outreach: Serving Denver Together

At Aspen Insurance Agency, serving people is more than a policy, it’s our purpose. Each quarter, our team chooses a cause close to our hearts and rolls up our sleeves to help-whether we are assembling hygiene kits, delivering hot meals, supporting equine assisted programs, or participating in critical health fundraisers. Here’s a look at how our employees and their families are giving back across Denver and beyond.

Our year often begins with a hands on drive for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH). With the generous support of our clients and community, we’ve assembled hundreds of hygiene kits, including a milestone year when we put together 300 kits to help CCH provide wraparound services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Recently, our team also organized winter kits to meet seasonal needs. These efforts support CCH’s mission to deliver housing, healthcare, and supportive services so Coloradans can stabilize and thrive.

Each year, Aspen employees and their families team up with Meals on Wheels to deliver meals, safety checks, and friendly smiles to local seniors. These visits do more than fill a plate, they combat loneliness and help older adults stay connected and independent. Nationally, Meals on Wheels providers serve millions of seniors and report that regular visits improve social connection and help participants feel safer at home, outcomes we’re proud to support through volunteer time and heartfelt conversations on delivery routes.

Quarter by quarter, our team looks for projects that blend service with personal growth. One favorite: a day at Happiness Through Horses, where we rolled up our sleeves for a farm cleanup to help maintain a safe, welcoming space for youth benefiting from equine therapy. The work was tough and muddy, and deeply meaningful. Supporting organizations that connect kids with caring mentors and therapeutic environments is a core part of how we define community.

For two years in a row, Aspen supported the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (NPCF) by volunteering and donating at the Pints for Purple Fundraiser. NPCF provides support to people affected by pancreatic cancer and raises awareness of a disease that touches so many families. Our team shows up to staff the event, contribute, and amplify the message, because solidarity is powerful.

Community giving at Aspen extends beyond any single year. Over time, we’ve also partnered with causes such as the National Brittany Rescue & Adoption Network and hosted a blood drive for Vitalant, joining neighbors to help pets find homes and ensure local blood supplies remain strong. These efforts reflect a simple belief: when we care for the community, the community thrives.

Our outreach efforts are employee driven. Each year, team members nominate organizations and decide on projects where our time, energy, and resources can make the most difference. That’s how we stay aligned with community needs and with the values our clients see in us every day.
